Understanding energetic alignment
Alignment is key to right action. In yoga asana, alignment is often stressed via a top down approach, one that imposes form on a body through external cues. In this workshop, I teach alignment from a different perspective than most approaches. Energetic Alignment is a way of movement that ignites the body’s inner intelligence to find its own optimal form, aligned with the movements of Prana. We do this through pulsation, rhythm, and intuitive movement within asana. In this workshop, I’ll share 4 methods to bring intelligent movement within asana to unfold the body’s innate knowing. You’ll also learn about the Pancha Vayu, or the 5 ways that prana moves related to the 5 elements. You’ll come away with a new way of somatically experiencing your movement practice and a new perspective on what alignment means for you.
About Lily:
After practicing yoga for over 20 years and teaching for 17 years, it is a passion of mine to share what has transformed me, and the ways my yoga practice has evolved.
