Class Descriptions

Vimana Yoga

Hot Vimana combines traditional yoga postures and sequencing with pranayama and meditation designed for all ages and levels of ability. The heat allows for a much deeper workout, which amplifies the natural healing process of the body in many ways: it improves flexibility, allowing you to effectively stretch your muscles, it increases circulation, creating amazing cardiovascular benefits, it increases strength and flexibility, which helps speed recovery and prevent injury, and it clears your mind, and frees you of tension and stress. The deep sweating also regenerates your skin and purifies and cleanses the entire body by flushing toxins at the cellular level.

Rocket Yoga

The world famous Rocket routine was created by Larry Shultz in the 80’s, given its name by Bob Weir of The Grateful Dead, because "it gets you there faster". This upbeat, energetic and fun practice is a reconfiguration of the first and second series of Ashtanga vinyasa yoga. The sequence is rooted in eastern tradition but creatively presented to fit the modern thinker. Designed to work with the nervous system, building strength in both the body and mind, lifting up your energy and creating a transformative practice to aid you in feeling more alive.  All levels welcome and encouraged, come experience your launching point.

Restorative Yoga

Yogis of all ages and ability levels are welcome and encouraged at this restorative yoga class heated to a temperature range of  92-97 degrees. Restorative poses help relieve the effects of stress brought on by our daily lives.  This class incorporates spinal movement, inversions, and use of props to allow for deep relaxation.  Each restorative sequence is designed to restore the nervous system and help release deeply held tensions from the body and mind.   The work of this gentle and nourishing practice improves range of motion and joint mobility.

Buti Yoga

This is our only unheated class but fear not, sweat you will! Buti, in Indian Marathi, means "the cure to something hidden or kept secret." This practice is a high-intensity fusion of yoga, tribal dance, and plyometrics. Classes combine cardio, strength training and flexibility in one seamless format. Buti creates a strong, empowered group that resembles a tribe.

Yoga Sculpt

Yoga Sculpt utilizes varying free weights to focus on strength AND intensity. This type of practice will combine the benefits of an asana practice with weights to create a cardio experience along with the benefits of yoga. With the challenge of light hand weights, you build lean muscle and challenge yourself in many ways. The room temperature is 87-93 degrees with 25% humidity. Sequences are challenging but not impossible. If you are looking to enhance your regular practice, this is a great opportunity to explore.

Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa translates into flow and in a Vinyasa yoga class you will move and groove. These classes link movement with breathe and each posture will creatively move into the next. Practicing this mindful movement in heat aids the muscles to stretch and strengthen within their full range of motion. Heat improves circulation and metabolism as well as working the cardiovascular system. Sweating also helps in feeling a cleansing of body and rejuvenation of the skin. Each class will be a little different according to the teacher. Come ready to experience dynamic movement fun!

Happy Hour Flow

Join Bif for an energetic hour of mindful Vinyasa flow mixed with some traditional balancing poses. A perfect combination of movement and stillness to focus the mind, move the energy and get motivated.  Get ready to sweat and create that Buddha glow!

26 and 2

Your teacher will lead you through a well rounded Hatha class that offers the more traditional hot yoga style. This class will follow a regular sequence that becomes familiar to students but allows for modifications and variations at the students' discretion. Each teacher offers the same sequence using their teaching expertise and unique voice and instruction.  This sequence blends strength, flexibility, balance, physical and mental stamina in one session while offering an incredible cardiovascular workout. This sequence is restorative and healing and has been shown to offer relief in many diseases including the following: Rheumatoid Arthritis, depression, and substance addiction.  The Evidence Based Complementary and Alternative Medicine Journal  published the following regarding this style of yoga: "According to published literature, Bikram yoga has been shown to improve lower body strength, lower and upper body range of motion, and balance in healthy adults. Non-RCTs report that Bikram yoga may, in some populations, improve glucose tolerance, bone mineral density, blood lipid profile, arterial stiffness, mindfulness, and perceived stress."
