Meet Amanda! Amanda has been a dedicated student of TSB since 2020. She is a super (super) mom and an advocate and leader in the outdoor adventure and recreation industry. Her creativity, passion, and leadership inspire us, and she is a bold and quiet force in the yoga space. Not to mention she is an incredible poet. Amanda, we are lucky to have you in our community! Here’s a little more about Amanda!

It's taken me many years to commit to a yoga practice consistently, and now, as a mom of a 4-year-old and 2-year-old, it's quite hard to stay committed, but more important than ever for my mental and physical well-being. Overall, the Durango community introduced me to yoga and kept me returning.

I've had so many incredible Durango friends introduce me to The Sweaty Buddha over the last few years, and there's nothing better than a morning meditation, workout, and some slow time with good friends, to kick start my day. The Sweaty Buddha and the people that convene here have been a true catalyst for so much wellness in my life. I've found the classes that work best for me, and I feel so grateful to gain so much variety and education from each teacher in how they narrate and lead their practices. When I'm not breaking a sweat at the Buddha, you can find my family and me as far up into the high country as possible, snowboarding, mountain biking, offroading, foraging, and hunting, while writing short stories and poems all about our adventures. I'm also lucky enough to work in the outdoor industry, so I travel to other beautiful outdoorsy spots around the country for photoshoots, media tours, and events. But I always love returning to Durango. There's no place like it.
